After the handbags incident in the second half of the Shrimpers 2-0 win over the Pilgrims last Saturday at Roots Hall, which saw new Argyle interim manager Carl Fletcher sent off, both League Two clubs have been charged by The FA with failing to control their players.

Southend and Plymouth have until 16.00 on Friday, September 23rd to respond, and if we both have to cough up, while not good for us, not sure how the Devon based side, presently in administration, are going to find the money now that Peter Reid is no longer there to sell his medals!

The Shrimpers could be on shaky ground though as they've already been fined £1,000 by the FA this campaign following a similar charge after beating Port Vale 3-2 back in August, and let's face it, we got away with it a touch after Accrington!
