Morris: 'I will do the best to try and get in the team for the first league game'
Goalkeeper Rhys Evans is one of the latest to join the Shrimpers on pre-contract agreements and he will use the remaining friendlies to make his case to manager Paul Sturrock that he should be teams first choice between the sticks.
Former Orient man Glenn Morris of course may have ideas of his own, and at the moment Evans has no idea who Sturrock will choose.
Rhys spoke to Blues Player: "No indication has been given yet as to who is the first choice keeper and all the manager has said is that he wants it to be competitive. That's obviously good for the club and we will both be doing all we can to make sure we get picked which should bring out the best in us."
