Former Chairboy Anthony Grant had threatened to spoil the party when he blasted the Shrimpers ahead early on after his side had dominated the early stages, but goals from Scott Donnelly, Ben Strevens and Scott Rendell were to spark wild celebrations as Wycombe finished a point clear of fourth-placed Shrewsbury Town, a year after they were relegated to the fourth tier.
