Dons boss speaks: 'Blues are dangerous, Tilly still fancies the play-offs'

Even after 11 wins in the last 14 games Tilly is insisting we've left it too late, he might be right, but MK Dons manager Di Matteo is having none of it.

Speaking to the Dons official site he said: "Maybe he's saying that to motivate his team. I think they still fancy a place in the play-offs. At home they're a very strong side, they're full of confidence right now so it's not going to be a walk in the park. (Or the Hall.)

RDM certainly fancies our striking power: "We've monitered Southend before, we've watched them and we know what to expext. They've got some dangerous players, up front especially. They've got many goal scorers, a little bit like us, so you've got to be aware of everyone, especially the offensive players.

And he accepts his team have to be at their best: "Friday would have been a tough game for us even if Southend weren't on a good run because they are a good team. We want to have a good game, to play our stuff, put in a good performance in and hopefully we can nick one or three points."

Having fallen behind the automatic promotion places over the last few weeks, Peterborough's amazing 7 match winning run, since they lost to the Blues, has seen them go 9 points ahead of the Dons, and they will be looking to cement their play-off place.

Di Matteo knows, as teams prepare for two games over the long weekend, that as long as your team is in a good position in the first place the Easter period is all-important: "There are going to be games where the top six take points of each other, but everyone is in good form at the moment so we need to make sure we pick up the points we need."

And up to us to help stop them!
