DJay Francis back in the groove

Simon Francis, who is responsible for the post match music in the Blues changing room, returned to the starting line-up in style on Saturday against Carlisle and he wants to stay there!

Speaking to the Echo, er, Simon said: "It was good to come back into the team and it was good to get a 3-0 win as well. It wasn't nice not being in the side and obviously nobody likes to be sitting on the bench but the team have been doing well so you can't complain. The manager changed things around again after losing at Swindon last week though and hopefully now I can keep on doing well."

While his versatility probably didn't do him any favours, Simon has played in every position on the right hand side as well as centre-half, we certainly missed his dead ball skills.

So if he can keep the concentration levels up when defending he should keep Sankofa out of the side for the final phase of the season where Francis believes the play-offs are still on.

"If we can win five or six of the last seven games we have left then anything could happen. We've done well because only a few weeks ago we were in danger of being relegated and think that reality check has spurred us on again. We aren't getting carried away though and need to take it just a game at a time, starting with Friday's game against Hartlepool which certainly won't be easy. We just can't wait for the games to come around now."
