Decision time for trailists; one gone, three still here, another lost in France

And we haven't mentioned the injured Estonian!

The Shrimpers started with four trailists at Dagenham, three in the back four, and with only two more warm-up games left before the season opener against Huddersfield on August 8, will anyone grab a permanant contract?

90 minutes was enough for Blues boss Steve Tilson to decide right-back Andrew Pearson did not have the right stuff and he's been sent back to Brighton.

At left-back has been the former Millwall man Zoumana Bakayogo, who played in the games against both Chelmsford and Ipswich, but the French born player, he started at Paris Saint-Germain, has had a chance to take a day trip to his home country and talk to a club there.

Tilson told the official site: "I thought he did OK for us to be honest. But this chance of going to France came up for him and I don't want him to miss out while we were making our minds up on what to do."

However, there's hope for central defenders Harry Worley from Leicester and the Borient's Brian Saah, not surprising really considering the lack of bodies in those positions, as they'll get another chance to impress on Tuesday evening at Barnet, after which a decision will be made.

That leaves Blackburn's Dutch striker Maceo Rigters where Tilly seemed less certain: "We will be talking about him and making a decision shortly."
