Well, Chairman Ron had to get the money back for dropping the ticket prices somehow!
The new home strip will be out for the end of June, while the away strip can be purchased at the Meet the Blues Day down for Sunday July 18th at the Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre.
www.southendunited.co.uk tells us: "The decision to launch a new home strip for next season was not taken lightly but a number of supporters felt that the season had not been the luckiest in many respects suggesting that a change of strip may help to revive the club's fortunes."
So Ron is blaming us! Thanks mate, oh hang on, it's not just us, let's bring in Tilly as well.
The offficial site continues: "The management team, (Tilly), also felt similarly but more than that the Manager, (Tilly), wanted a fresh look and approach to the season ahead and influence the final choice."
Brilliant.
So discounts in the Club Shop on the one season wonder that was last terms kit, and those who just want to shout 'Yellows' at away games, or not feel uncool when we go for the pink look, yellow will remain the third choice for 2010/11.
