Ian Selley currently on loan from Wimbledon has today extended his loan period for another month, midfielder Ian Selley has spent the last three weeks at Roots Hall, and has no reason to return to Wimbledon, where it seems he has no future and is a long way from a first-team place. The former Arsenal man was expected to stay with The Shrimpers for at least another month, and the extension of the deal was a formality.
Selley may well end up finishing the season with Southend United, where he is having his second loan spell. The player has been building up his fitness after a series of injury problems, and the move to the Essex coast has been a good chance to put himself in the shop window.
Thursday evening sees the Shareholders A.G.M, the meeting is to be held at the Shrimpers bar at Roots Hall starting at 7.45pm, a full report of the meeting will appear on this web-site later,
