Scannell: 'The complications off the field have been well documented'

So it's happened, the Blues future as a five-a-side club gets ever closer.

The exciting, and just showing us what he is was truly capable of before a Walsall defender cut him down, SUFC winger Damien Scannell, having turned down a two-year offer from the Shrimpers, has put pen to paper to the exact same period of time with newly promoted Dagenham and Redbridge FC.

The difference being he should be able to pay the rent on time, as young Damien told the Echo last week it was the continued late payment of wages which forced him to make the decision to leave the club.

Damian told www.echo-news.co.uk: "There have been complications off the field at Southend which I think have been well documented now and I just needed more security in my life to be honest. I don't really want to say too much about it, but I have bills to pay just like everyone else and it's been hard being at Southend."

Here we go again, (I should have this on some sort of speed button), but really, the best of luck Damien and hope it goes well for you with the Daggers.
