As Ron lies on his lilo in Crete, Southend's financial concerns continue

I'm afraid another piece of Ron PR hits the fan, and the 'formality' that was this morning's latest appearance in London will continue into next month along with the action by HMRC.

At the High Court Wednesday loan company Charterhouse Commercial Finance applied to adjourn its winding up petition against Southend United until after an administration audit by Her Majesty's Taxmen which will be heard on Monday August 2nd. (That's the day folks!)

Charterhouse say are owed over £140,000 by the Shrimpers but will now go back to court on August 11.

No news on the loan repayment to the PFA that will keep Paul Sturrock and his couple of 'signings' at the club due to the transfer embargo being lifted.

Any odds Friday's friendly at Dartford being called off?

The shortest club statement on record re the adjournment here:

Good of them to keep us so well informed.

Or is it time for a revolution as John Lennon once told us?
