Cheer up Granty, you could be playing Leeds again next year
Well it had to happen after the form he's been showing this season, with five goals from midfield already, but Anthony Grant could be the subject of a bid when the transfer window opens in January.
It seems that a number of clubs from the Championship are sniffing around with Reading the ones that stand out as some how I can't see Snoop Dog in Doncaster!
And, of course, as ever where Southend are concerned they smell a bargin.
Granty has played over 100 games as a Shrimper now and was one of the gang of four who didn't leave the club in the summer.
He still has 18 months left on his contract having signed a new deal only last year, so we should get a decent amount of dosh, but not as much as Uncle Ron would like in these tough times.
According to Sky Sports lining up at the moment are; Barnsley, Bristol City, Doncaster, Reading and Swansea City, but I'm sure they're could be more.
