Blues opens talks with Clarke's agent

Southend United have offered Blues player-of-the-year Peter Clarke a new contract and discussions have started with the players agent.

Tilly told the official site: "We've started talking to him. But I don't think we are going to get a decision straight away."

Good luck to everyone involved there, it would be great if he decided to stay but I still believe we are in the hands of what other clubs decide to do.

Still, early days and at least events are moving on.
