The 19-year old Chippenham Town goalkeeper kept an impressive 23 clean sheets last season and was indeed named as the best keeper in the Dr Martens Western Division. He will be coming to Roots Hall in a bid to test Carl Emberson for the number one jersey, should he of course impress boss Wignall enough to be able to join the Southend 'revolution'.
Griffiths is a proven goalscorer and should he prove himself would undoubtedly be an assest to the Blues squad, the Welsh striker was with Luton Town last season, but is best known in this Division for two successful stints with Leyton Orient.
