David Beckham celebrates scoring against Sweden in November.
England skipper David Beckham has confessed that he is fully fit and raring to go for Sunday's Group F encounter with Sweden (kick-off 10:30am).

Beckham, who scored the crucial final minute free kick against Greece to take England to he World Cup finals back in October, broke the metarsal boine in his left foot in a Champion League match at Old Trafford last month. Beckham's race to be fit has got the whole country talking, but having taken part in his first full training session on Wednesday, the English captain has declared himself fully fit, and is expected to take up a starting position against Sweden.

"It's been great" said Beckham on the support he recieved, "I've recieved good luck wishes from everyone - even the Queen" he continued.

"Of course it has been diffcult at times, I was always so desperate to be fit, but luckily everything has fallen into place over the last week" the inspirational captain finished.

Beckham scored a penalty in England's last meeting with the Swedes at Old Trafford back in November, England drew 1-1 that day and the nations heroes will be hoping to end a run of over 30 years without a win over the Head Coach's native side. Sven Goran Eriksson has been boosted however by the news that Sweden's Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljunberg is a huge doubt for the clash having picked up a hip injury during training.
