Barney: 'Plenty of positives to take from Charlton game'

Southend's third defeat in a row, sixth away from Roots Hall in a row, their third game in four without scoring, not a good run of form in anybody's language.

The players down, not a bit of it, as striker Lee Barnard told the Sun.

Barney said: "It's not a good run but it's not playing on our minds. We've got a game plan and are sticking to it. I'm sure it'll change round. It's frustrating but we've got plenty of positives to take from doing so well against such a good side."
