Another Premiership Giant Added To Pre-Season Schedule

Southend United have today revealed that former England manager Glenn Hoddle will be bringing his Tottenham Hotspur side to Roots Hall for a pre-season friendly as United search fore another capacity crowd.

Spurs have visited the Seaside before during their previous pre-season campaigns, the last taking place in August 1996 when the Premiership side ran out 3-1 winners, Blues goal coming from Danish midfielder John Nielson.

First Division side Wimbledon will also be visiting Roots Hall in the summer it has been announced. Blues beat The Don's prior to the 1993/94 season and they have been added to a list that already includes West Ham United and Charlton Athletic.

Tottenham will visit The Hall on Tuesday 30th July and Wimbledon on Saturday 3rd August.
