The red kit, which United had to bring in as League rules stated that the Shrimpers cannot possess two blue shirts, regardless of the shade, without another alternative, so a red shirt has been developed.

As things stand the shirt, which unlike the others does not possess an 'England-style' stripe down the left side, will not go on general sale, but should there be enough interest it may be reconsidered in the future.
