The new section will accompany the regular features in our ‘The Opposition’ section, joining ‘Away Travel’, ‘Getting To Know You…’ and ‘Third Division News’ as a brand new fourth category. Essentially it will be a mixture of all three – what we hope to do is to give a brief overview of what to expect from each of our opposition outfits in Division Three next season, and provide relevant links so you can get to grips with the massive collection of facts that is the FootyMAD network.
So, what specifically can you find out – what exactly is ‘The Story’?:
- Ground details – capacity, away end, nearest station, history
- Prices – how much can Blues fans expect to be charged around the country?
- Club history – how have they got where they are now?
- Recent history – who’s done what in the last ten years?
- Last Season – full rundown of the season; who played, who scored, where did they finish, what was the score against Southend?
- Head-to-Head – what’s Southend’s record against them?
- Player Details – up-to-date squad details, with links to FootyMAD’s extensive database
- Club links – what’s the best website to visit?
- Personal opinions – where possible we hope to get FootyMAD’s editors involved to give us a real account from where it’s happening
- Robert Craven’s predictions – the dreaded forecast of where each side will finish come May; please don’t refer back to it in 2004!
Don’t worry about squad details becoming out-of-date – we’ll be updating them throughout the pre-season campaign, and providing the results of all the Third Division side’s pre-season friendlies, so there’s no excuse to go into the new season blinkered!
