In The Hot Seat: Tranmere Resit

Last updated : 13 February 2010 By Mike Jackson

What is sort of squad is left?

We have been able to bring in a couple of loan signings in January including Marvin Sordell (striker) from Watford and Chris McCready (defender) from Northampton Town but this week we have been hit by two injuries to defenders again.

Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team?

Ash Taylor is injured so I guess apart from the on-loan Marvin Sordell there aren't too many youngsters left who will most likely play on Saturday.

Are you happy with your chairman/backroom staff?

The Chairman is unpopular with the fans after the appointment of John Barnes but he has helped us out a lot in the past so can probably be forgiven if things work out OK this season and things seem to be turning round under Les Parry.

What's your thoughts on Southend; the team, the management, the ground?

I've been to Roots Hall twice and as we won the first time and went top of the League, I have good memories there on the whole. I'll be there again this time around - I really enjoy the trip.

A similar Club to us in the sense of competing with so many other teams around them from the London Premiership Teams to lower league neighbours such as Colchester and perhaps further out, Norwich, Ipswich etc.

I've always liked Steve TIlson and his manner to be fair.

Predict your champions and runners-up, and the four to go down.

Champions: Leeds United Runners-Up: Charlton

Relegated: Wycombe, Stockport, Oldham and either Us or Brighton.
