How did you fare last season?

We had an awful season and finished 15th with 53 points, only 4 points ahead of relegated Northampton on 49 points, although our goal difference was -3 and their's was -4!

How do you think you will do this season?

I have to be optimistic and say we will improve on last season, I was hoping we could just make the play-offs but after the opening day's 5-0 thrashing by Gillingham I will go for top 10, and that's being optomistic!

What is your squad like?

We released 13 players at the end of last season and so far we have brought in 6, they are a Polish under 21 goalie whose name I can't remember; another goalie called Lucas from Leeds on a free; Cuthbert from Celtic for 100k, he plays either full back or centre half; midfielder Douglas from Leeds on a free…he sounds quality; Gordon Greer, centre-half from Doncaster on a free; O'Brien midfielder from Hibernian on a free; we are still looking for another 2 strikers.

Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?

Sean Morrison centre half; I think he is only 17 or 18 but played quite a few games last season and a lot of premier clubs plus Celtic are or have shown an interest in him.

Watch out for his throw ins, if we get a throw in anywhere near the corner flag his throw is as good as a free kick or corner! (Stoke may be interested in signing him?!!)

What's your manager like and will he still be there at the end of the season?

Danny Wilson has only been here since middle of last season but he is well liked and respected by the 'Town' fans, he is slowly bringing in his own players (mostly free transfers) and getting rid of a lot of dead wood.

I fully expect him to be here for several years.

Are you happy with your chairman/backroom staff?

We have a good chairman who saved the club from administration a couple of seasons ago.

He made a huge mistake by initially appointing Maurice Malpass as manager but made amends by sacking him shortly after we got beat in the FA cup 1-0 by Histon last season.

Danny Wilson then joined us and he saved us from relegation, he got rid of 13 players in the summer and is now slowly building his own team.

Part of the rebuilding has been the sacking of the goalkeeper coach and reserve team manager, Danny has brought in 2 of his own men to replace these.

Our chairman Andrew Fitton is a multi millionaire and we would like him to invest more of his own money into the club…but then again wouldn't we all?

Which team do you want to beat the most and why?

It's a toss up between Bristol Rovers (our closest rivals in this league) and Leeds United.

Since Leeds have been in this league they have beaten us every game, I remember going to ER the season before last and we played really well, but the ref was crap…he gave Leeds a really dubious penalty and he disallowed what looked like a good goal from us, we lost the match 2-1 and that prat in black booked 7 of our players…he was a right homer!

So I would like revenge and it would be nice to get something of Leeds as I am sick of seeing them beat us every time we play them.

Predict your champions and runners-up, the four play-off teams and the four to go down.

I originally had Norwich to go up automatic but after their thrashing home to Colchester I have revised that prediction!

1/ LEEDS UNITED
2/ HUDDERSFIELD

3/ CHARLTON
4/ MK DONS
5/ NORWICH
6/ MILLWALL

21/ CARLISLE
22/ YEOVIL
23/ STOCKPORT
24/ EXETER

I would like to finish by saying we welcome you to the County Ground boys and girls and I hope you have an enjoyable day and a good season, …but I hope you go away from your visit to Swindon with NIL POINTS! (Cheers mate, hope you have a good day too - EEB)

I toyed with the idea of putting Southend to finish 6th, I think you will do well this season and will be in with a good shout of the play-offs!

And finally, the most important question......the best place to have a pint before the game?

Most of the pubs near our ground don't allow away fans entry on match day, so I would say go to the Town centre (near the railway station) and there are several pubs there that you guys could use, and it is only about a 15 minute walk along Manchester Road to the ground.

However, fellow Robins fan Gaz1959 adds the following:

I would recommend; 1 - The Merlin up Drove Road on the right past the Fire Station or; 2. The Grove further up the road or; 3. The Bulldog on Queens Drive.

Town centre is good but a bit far from the ground and is increasingly enticing for the idiots.
