Tilly sees enough of Drewy all over again as loan move beckons

Drewe Broughton; he did get 'that' goal

Once described, I believe in jest, as a 'complete, all round footballing genius', tall striker Drew Broughton, at the grand old age of 32, could be looking for his 18th team, and that's not counting the club's he's been at twice, usually on loan first.

And the manager who has it in for him once again is the man in charge of his 9th and 17th, one Steve Tilson.

Former boss Steve Tilson, it seems, in re-shaping the Imps squad, three players confimed Monday including striker Scott Spencer, has seen enough of our Drew, again!

The Lincoln team we play in March will be a touch different from the one we beat 1-0 back in early October, and on the back of three successive wins has seen a rise to 19th position in the League.

Word emerging from Sincil Bank, well, EEB's in-laws in a village outside the town, is that Drew has been offered a chance to be paid off, he was on a one-year contract that ended in June 2011, and told he can find another club outside the transfer deadine as a free agent.

No official confirmation, but Tilly has got history with Drewy, taking a year last time around, so at least he had a head start when he became an Imp last October, and if proved correct, it's only taken him four months!

He was shipped off to Rushden & Diamonds on the way to Wycombe, R&D again, oh the list is too long, read the file below, if you can get to the end.

Somehow though remaining a cult figure amongst quite a few of the Roots Hall faithful for putting in so much effort for so little reward, and possibily for scoring against the Farmers in the second leg of the LDV semi-final of 2004, sending the Shrimpers to their first national Final in the club's then 98 year history.

Good luck Drewy!

UPDATE: Well, congrats to EEB's relatives for being on the ball here, no mention of terminating contracts to be fair, but it loooks as if Drew will be off soon enough:
