Tilson as an Imp: 'Team spirit is something I instilled at Southend'

In T&B Lincoln now trust and the legendary two have wasted no time in laying down what the Lincolnshire club have to do to get away from the bottom of the fourth tier.

Tilly told a welcoming press conference: "Team spirit is so important and you have to have a group of players who like and get on with each other because, at any level, that makes a huge difference. That's something I instilled at Southend, and if it's not here at Lincoln, and I've only been here a day, then myself and Paul Brush will do our best to make it right."

We know what you did very well Tills, and a start will be to get hold of some of those players who they got to wear a Blue Shrimpers shirt with such pride.

Brushy told www.echo-news.co.uk: "We have spoken about a lot of players, including some who have played for Southend. But at the same time we want to develop the players we already have and we may need to look closer to the area we're now in, which means looking at players who are at places like Peterborough, Nottingham and Scunthorpe. There isn't a lot of room for manoeuvre, but we will be looking to make a couple of loan signings."

Will ex-Captain Adam join his former masters, does he know where Lincoln is?

And one of those, along with Franck Moussa at Leicester and possibily our own Scott Spencer, would be one ex-captain Adam Barrett, no exactly going great guns down at Championship Crystal Palace, one league game so far!

Brushy continued: "There is no doubting that Adam is a fantastic leader and captain. He would be a huge asset for us, but he's at Palace now and that's a long way from here."

Good luck lads, and see you next March.
