Sturrock: New Shrimpers boss

Paul Sturrock: Nearly 80% of S24 readers are happy with the Blues boss

At the back end of last year we asked how our readers felt about the new boss Paul Sturrock as the team were struggling.

58% were willing to give Luggy the benefit of the doubt and wait until the new year, so now six weeks into 2011 and five and a half months into the season as a whole we felt it was time for an update.

And you certainly got voting on this one, our most popular poll for a while. (Including a few mischievous votes for Tilly's return!)

It was certainly a good time to ask the question for Sturrock to be judged, but with Bilel out and Ryan maybe spending some time at a guest of Her Majesty, as well as some tough games coming up, there might be a different result by Easter, but for now Luggy is doing good as far as S24 readers are concerned.

He certainly had a tough act to follow, as well as a very popular one, joining a club that was broke and a obvious lack of playing staff!

Personally I think he has done an excellent job as long as we're not relegated, a sight of the play-off zone a real bonus, so I'm with the 48.4%.

However, it has to be reported, that on the morning of the last day the top two questions were level, still positive of course, but then six late hits on the 'great job' box gave it a clear lead!

Luggy, his son Blair, and a few other relatives, making sure due credit was given?

We will never know.
