In the last account period, which covered manager Paul Sturrock's summer activity in 2010 we were in an unfortunate second place in the unwanted League Two table of agent fees pay-out's of around £38k.

However, moving on three months in the year, losing that mad early period of Luggy's reign, and the club have confirmed a reduced figure paid to agents for 'general consultancy and player dealings' from October 1st, 2010 to September 30th, 2011 of £27,049.61.

The same 12 month period last year was £50,400, and the year before that it was £56,104.

S24 would expect this amount to be reduced even further when the next figures are released around February 2012.

How nice if one day it would be zero, some clubs do it, then again we do want promotion and if you want to sign decent players agents are usually a necessary evil.
