Freddy a challenge for Coventry

Fred has scored just four goals last season following his £1.2 million transfer from Wolves, and Steve Harrison will do his best to make him the player we remember at the Hall.

Harrison told the Coventry Evening Telegraph: "Freddy is a natural goalscorer, or has proved to have been in the past, but he didn't have a particularly exciting season for himself last year. It is a challenge and we have to ask the player, what can we do, what do you think we need? We can start there and then have a look at some of the video clips and say what about this, what about that, and let's have an afternoon on that.

The Sky Blue coach is certainly not going to mess around with Eastwood: "Whether he will say, 'I have got an appointment with my financial adviser,' or whoever, like a lot of them do, I don't know, but it should be football first. Every player is a challenge and I have always believed that if you can inside a player's brain, you are winning."

Every Shrimper would like to see Freddy firing on all cylinders again but I'm not sure Harrison's methods will get the best out of him, bullying certainly didn't work for McCarthy.

Many feel Tilly got the success he did with Fred by building the team around him, subsequent managers have not been prepared to take that risk.

However, note to Coventry boss Chris Coleman, not playing him out wide would be a start!
