Former Shrimpers striking target looks to Daggers

Adam Cunnington

A report in www1.skysports.com has League Two and weekend opponents Dagenham & Redbridge aggreeing a fee to sign highly-rated striker Adam Cunnington from Blue Square Premier side Kettering.

This would be a blow to the Poppies who are only a couple of points above the relegation zone in the fifth tier, www.southendunited-mad.co.uk, but it would raise some important finance, a return to Roots Hall and our own Harry Crawford maybe, he trained with the club earlier in the season: www.southendunited-mad.co.uk

It certianly looks as if the Daggers are interested in grabbing the 23-year-old forwards signature and talks are set to continue, or so says his agent anyway!

The Shrimpers were previously thought to have been chasing Cunnington in the January transfer window as finance did seem to be in place for a deal, but talks broke down with his former club Solihull Moors.
