Dougie Freedman: Remains assistant manager at the Eagles
Crystal Palace have confirmed the appointment of former Scotland boss George Burley as the new manager at Selhurst Park.
The 54-year-old returns to club football with the Championship side after being sacked as national head coach last November.
He succeeds Paul Hart, who had replaced Neil Warnock at Selhurst Park after he went off to QPR.
Hart's short-term contract expired after, along with Dougie, they memorably kept the Eagles in the Championship on the final day of last season, an incredible effort after they were deducted ten points for going into administration.
And the good news is that former striker Dougie Freedman will stay on as Burley's No.2.
Dougie is a legend at Selhurst Park, memorably scoring the goal at Stockport which saved them once again from relegation back in 2001.
