Bradbury: Still much to improve on

Bradbury: 'Financially, I don’t know if we would be able to agree a deal'

AFC Bournemouth boss and ex-Shrimpers striker Lee Bradbury would love to continue his quest to sign the Southend United side circa 2005 for the League One club he now manages by trying to get his hands on Coventry City 'he can find another club' striker Freddy Eastwood!

Sadly for Lee though, the former Southend scoring legend is reported to be one of the Sky Blues highest earners, and they just might want a few bob of the £1.2 million they reportedly coughed up for him from Wolves before they let him leave his contract early.

At the moment goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan and ex-Captain Adam Barrett are both applying their trade at Dean Court, and they were on the verge of adding right-back Simon Francis to the squad form Charlton but they couldn't agree personal terms, which gives you an idea on what we were paying them all!

Bradbury told www.bournemouthecho.co.uk: “I played with Freddy and he is a very good player. Financially, I don’t know if we would be able to agree a deal because I think he was on a decent deal at Coventry. But, yes, he is a great player and someone I would sign. But I have got limitations to what I can do and he is a Championship player, and he would probably want to stay there.”

Not sure what choice he has, but Bradders is probably right about the dosh!
