After Terriers Bee Mac plans to sting Shrimpers

MacDonald; now on 16 goals this season for Brentford

29-year old Macdonald scored five goals in 15 starts for Southend after a move from non-league Gravesend & Northfleet, but he never got a decent run in a Tilly side, sometimes coming back from injury and looking off the pace.

And back last September, just before the Bees 2-1 defeat of the Shrimpers, Charlie spoke to a local paper.

He told the Ealing Gazette: "I don't think I got a fair chance at Southend, but I don't think I've got a point to prove to anyone either. A lot of their squad has changed since I was there, but they're a good, hard-working side and will give us a tough game."

Fair enough mate, and MacDonald has proved any critics wrong, certainly at being good enough for the third tier of league football, as he proudly stands at the top of the Bees scoring charts with 16 goals after a brace against Huddersfield Saturday, former Blues Peter Clarke and Theo Robinson included.

Anyway, Old Mac certainly was a thorn in the side to the Terriers, and you read about the game here, and about poor Clarkey's 'debatable' hand ball. Sorry Pete, we've seen it all before, though it's usually a push in the back:

Or even better, catch the highlights, especially for Mildy, so he can work out which way Charlie's penalties go; hopefully like the Huddersfield bloke's at the end:

Still, let's hope Charlie doesn't do the business Tuesday evening, as some of his mates did to this poor girl:
