The League One club have thanked the Shrimpers for agreeing to cut-price admission for next Saturday’s FA Cup meeting at Deepdale.

Season ticket holders will be charged £5 for adults, £3 concessions and £1 juniors for the first-round tie, Preston's first appearance at this stage of the competition since 1999, if they purchase tickets for the clash against United before 17.00 next Friday. (November 11th).

Adrian Ward, PNE’s marketing manager, told www.lep.co.uk: “We are pleased that Southend agreed to our pricing proposals which we put to them in order to reduce the cost of football for supporters of both clubs. We have been keen to offer additional discounts to season ticket holders for many of our recent cup ties, but we always have to reach an agreement with the opposition to be able to offer discounts of that nature. Therefore, we are pleased that Southend agreed to let us charge ‘PNE Day’ prices for non-season ticket holders and even less for season ticket holders, who we are keen to reward with preferential offers whenever we can."
