Shrewsbury train station is served by trains from Birmingham New Street, Manchester Piccadilly & Crewe as well as direct serices from London.

First off there's now a £40 return direct from London Marylebone on the 08.14 that will get you in at 11.40.

To get back you leave at 18.07, back at Marylebone at 21.15, not great.

Or you could go from to Birmingham New Street for £19.50 return and a £12 return from Birmingham to Shrewsbury, a total of £31.50 but for the saving it can be a tortuous journey with changes at Wolverhampton and Telford.

Looking into this one but all the services and fares on offer at the moment can be found at www.londonmidland.com, and of course any railcards would prove very useful.

There could be a mixed transport offer on option, sadly megabus has a pound fare to the second city but it won't connect with a Shrewsbury train in time for kick-off, so awaiting national express funfares, will keep an eye on that.

Then you have to get to the ground........

Shrewsbury train station is around two miles away from the stadium. So it should take around 40 minutes to walk.

Otherwise you can grab a taxi up to the ground, or take a bus from the town centre bus station (service numbers 8, 16, 23, 25 & 544/546 all stop near to the stadium).

There are also plans to introduce a dedicated bus service on matchdays.

There's the station, the blue blob in the middle, but nowhere near the ground!

And there's the ground, bottom right in the space, just above the A5 and below the B4380!

(Thanks to www.footballgroundguide.com for stadium directions.)
