Introduced to the crowd before the 4-0 win over Hereford Friday evening the youngsters sat in the stands at Roots Hall with their famlies and must have thought they were on to a good thing after that display as they will be turning out for Ricky Duncan's ever successful under-18's next season after signing new scholarship contracts.
They include the exciting potential of winger Lyle Della-Verde, who was seen during the young Shrimpers terrific FA Youth Cup run earlier this season, as well as one reserve team appearance already under his belt!
Who knows, one or two could be the next Kane Ferdinand!
