Spontaneously combust.....it must be a Shrimper.

ABOUT YOUR CLUB

What is your most memorable Southend United moment or match?

There have been many great memories supporting the Blues over so many seasons, but the recent 90th minute equaliser by Peter Clarke at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea in the third round of the FA Cup, was the first time I thought I was going to spontaneously combust!

Your worst moment supporting Southend United?

Sadly, there have been a few of these as well! However, memories of childhood stay with you and I thought the world had come to an end when Wolves, then in the top division and we were in the fourth, scored in the very last minute of a League Cup tie in September 1968 at Molineux to win the game.

In front of close on 19,000, many who stayed on at the end to chant Southend's name, that game is still with me over 40 years later!

In your eyes who is Southend United's All-Time Greatest Player and why?

Stan Collymore: Simply had everything, one of the best players I've ever seen period, let alone for Southend. Practically impossible to shake of the ball once he got going, a fantastic shot, laid on chances for team mates that they simply couldn't miss.

Saved us from relegation from the second tier in the nineties almost single-handedly.

Taxi For? To which Player would you pay a Taxi Fare to leave the Club?

Kevin Betsy (wide right). A frustrating player to watch as you feel he's got it but just doesn't deliver, dropped to the subs bench last week so he's been found out at last and we hope it wakes him up but somehow you doubt it.

EDITORS NOTE: He won't be popular with our fans either this time around after cheating us into a red card and a penalty against us for Walsall last season.

Which Southend United player can do most damage to Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday Night?

Dougie Freedman looked to be the guy to put us in the play-offs, he then got injured and we've started to fall the other way. However, he's back and scored the winner against Bristol Rovers last week.

That's 5 goals in 9 starts, not a bad return for a 34 year old. Alan McCormack from midfield will certainly cause some damage, depends if it's legal or not!

Is Steve Tilson the right man to get Southend United out of League One?

That could be a loaded question in our current position! However, yes. The last five years under Tilly been a fantastic rollercoaster ride which most Shrimpers believe has at least one more loop in it yet.

Any Southend United Chants we should try to listen out for at the game?

(To the tune of 'Animals go in 2 by 2 or 'Johnny Comes Marching Home' for the older fan!) .....

'When Southend United come out to play, sing up, sing up....When Southend United come out to play, sing up, sing up....When Southend United come out to play, we sing at home and we sing away....We all follow the Essex Boys in blue.....Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, (you get the point).......We all follow the Essex Boys in blue'.

LEAGUE ONE VIEWS

What is your Top Two Prediction for League One this season?

Hard to see past the present top two of Leicester and MK Dons, they've been so consistent.

Play-Off Winners?

Leeds just might do it this season with Grayson in charge. Shame, it's a guaranteed three points at home!

Your tip for the Bottom Four places?

Started with Hereford, Crewe, Yeovil, Cheltenham and three are in the bottom four in the middle of February. I'm more than happy for Brighton or Orient to take the place of Yeovil!

THE TWO CLUBS

Where do you think Southend United will finish this season?

9th

Do you think Tranmere will be Promoted/Relegated from League One and why?

Might make the play-offs but need to string a long unbeaten run to go further, losing at Crewe and drawing at home to Borient are not good signs!

Simon Francis spent time on loan at Tranmere at a few season's agoand was very highly thought of by the Fans. Is it the same for Southend Fans and how has he been playing for you?

Ah Simon. He's thought of, certainly. As a right back, he can be brilliant going forward but then forgets his day job is to defend! Tried as a right midfielder, then dropped, kept out of the side by Sankofa. Came back as a centre half when we had Peter Clarke suspended and looked a better player! Against Rovers he returned to the right of midfield and had a decent game. A man for all positions.

What is your Prediction for Saturday's game between the sides?

Southend 1 Tranmere 0

Any other comments to add?

This could be a classic mid-table battle, not a lot of goal mouth action, the odd goal nicking it.

I've always enjoyed going to Tranmere and wish you the best of luck for the remainder of the season as long as you allow us to take three points on this occasion. Our need is greater!
