Oldham salvaged a point in a goalless draw at Leicester, despite Dean Windass having to replace Greg Fleming in goal for almost half the match.

Fleming was dismissed five minutes into the second half, bringing down Matt Fryatt, who was through on goal.

But Fryatt missed the penalty and Leicester failed to test veteran Windass, 39, who kept a clean sheet.

Oldham could have had a penalty when Chris Taylor looked to have been tripped, but his appeal was waved away.

Tranmere Rovers 0 Leyton Orient 0

Tranmere's six-game winning run at Prenton Park game to an end as Orient boss Geraint Williams's first game in charge ended in a goalless draw.

In a very tight first half, the best chance fell to Tranmere defender Ryan Shotton but his header from Chris Shuker's freekick was deflected just wide.

Orient keeper Jamie Jones was finally called into action as the half drew to a close when he first tipped Edrissa Sonko's effort just over the bar before doing even better to deny Charlie Barnett.

Rovers dominated after the break as well but chances were spurned by Ian Moore, Bas Savage and Barnett as The O's held out for their first clean sheet in 12 games.

Sam Williams came off the bench to grab a point for Walsall as he struck an equaliser nine minutes from time to deny Hartlepool a first win in six.

The Saddlers had taken the lead on ten minutes when Troy Deeney exchanged passes with strike partner Jabo Ibhere before coolly slotting the ball past Arran Lee-Barrett.

Ten minutes before the break, the home team were on level terms when Anthony Gerrard comically struck the ball into his own net and on 65 minutes Joel Porter struck them in front for his 17th of the season.

But Williams ensured it was a point apiece when he nodded in Mark Bradley's cross on 81 minutes.
