Walsall 1 Leicester 4

Table-topping Leicester maintained their lead at the top of League One as they demolished Walsall at The Bescot Stadium.

Matty Fryatt opened the scoring in the 12th minute with his 25th goal of the season before Andy King grabbed a second on the stroke of half time.

King then turned provider for Tom Cleverly to extend their lead to 3-0 and all but wrap up the points before striker Steve Howard notched a fourth in the 52nd minute.

Dwayne Mattis pulled one back for Chris Hutchings' side after Richard Taundry had gone close but it proved little more than a consolation goal.

Stockport 0 MK Dons 1

Aaron Wilbraham's fourth goal in two games ensured MK Dons kept pace with leaders Leicester in a convincing win at Edgeley Park.

Wilbraham - who bagged a hat trick in the 5-3 win at Cheltenham on Saturday - netted the only goal of the game in the 36th minute when he fired home Jason Puncheon's cross.

Roberto di Matteo's side should have added a second after the break but Alan Navarro and Jemal Johnson both forced saves from keeper Owain fon Williams.

But the stadium:mk outfit had stopper Willy Gueret to thank for the victory as he saved from Oli Williams in the dying seconds.

Huddersfield 1 Hartlepool 1

Ten-man Hartlepool rescued a point against Huddersfield to dent The Terriers' play-off hopes at The Galpharm Stadium.

Michael Nelson fired into the back of his own net after just nine minutes to give Lee Clark's men the perfect start.

But Ritchie Jones fired back for the visitors in the 37th minute when he fired home Joel Porter's cross.

Daniel Nardiello - who signed this week from Blackpool - saw red for violent conduct after the break but Hartlepool held on to take a share of the spoils.
