Terry Skiverton, 33 and the former Town captain, has been at Huish Park for 10 years, making 380 appearances, and he will be supported by assistant manager Nathan Jones. (Never saw Nathan as manager material!)

Yeovil parted company with Russell Slade on Monday after his two-and-a-half years as manager and Steve Thompson was released on Wednesday.

"This is a massive chance and we look forward to moving the club forward," Skiverton told the club website.

Having barely climbed into the hotseat at Huish Park, he has given his first interview as Yeovil Town boss. Speaking to BBC Somerset presenter Adam Thomas on their Breakfast programme, Skivo talked about the decision to appoint himself and Nathan Jones as the new management team and his hopes and aims as the new manager.
