Buckle: Delighted with win

Buckle: 'I'm delighted - three clean sheets, six goals and three wins in a row '

The Shrimpers are not in bad form themselves, one defeat in six games, four of them wins.

However, they travel to Torquay on Saturday to play a team in even better shape then themselves, victory last night over Burton was their third on the trot, and obviously manager Paul Buckle was a happy Gull.

Buckle told www.torquayunited.com: "I am absolutely thrilled, we were outstanding, great value for money and thoroughly deserved the three points. I am delighted - three clean sheets, six goals and three wins in a row. The boys are doing great. The lads need to take all the credit, they are at it at the moment and tonight we could have easily won by four. We were excellent, the crowd were good as well, and all in all it was another good night for us."

It's going to be a tough old game after such a long trek for Southend, team and supporters, with both teams sniffing the play-off zone as well.

Let's just hope there's no heavy overnight rain forecast!

(Er, actually there is, on the day though: http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/2996?)
