Darryl is sent to Leeds

Flahavan, who joined Palace in the summer from the Blues after eight years at Roots Hall, has made just one League appearance and two Cup appearances for his new club, including the 4-0 defeat to Leeds last August at Elland Road.

The highly rated goalkeeper has been a regular in the reserve side throughout much of this season, until a clash left him with substantial damage to his nose and mouth, including some lost teeth.

Darryl made 218 appearances for the Shrimpers in two spells after signing from Woking in October 2000.

He was released in May 2003 until David Webb, who was back as Southend manager once again, resigned the player in September of that year!

Darryl joined the South London side when his contract expired at the end of last season.

Good Luck mate, your need it at Elland Road.
