Leicester City 1 Colchester United 1

Leicester substitute Paul Dickov bundled home a second-half equaliser to deny Colchester a shock win at the leaders.

The U's stunned the hosts in the 23rd minute when winger Mark Yeates curled a delightful free-kick over the wall and beyond the reach of Tony Warner.

A brilliant Mark Cousins save denied Andy King an immediate equaliser with leading scorer Matty Fryatt firing wide five minutes after the restart.

But Dickov rescued the point in the 66th minute when he got on the end of Lloyd Dyer's cross.

Bristol Rovers 0 Peterborough United 1

Aaron Mclean's 18th goal of the season kept Peterborough on course for a second successive promotion with the only goal of the game at The Memorial Ground.

Posh were first to threaten and Rovers goalkeeper Steve Phillips produced a fine save to tip over George Boyd's attempted lob.

Phillips was again at his best ten minutes before the break when he kept out Craig Mackail-Smith's snap-shot.

But there was nothing the Rovers keeper could do 20 minutes from time when Mclean got on the end of Mackail-Smith's cross from close range.

Hartlepool United 2 Millwall 3

Millwall veteran Neil Harris came off the bench to grab a second-half hat-trick as The Lions came from two goals down to win.

Pools stormed in front in the 23rd minute when Sweeney took advantage of hesitant defending to fire home from 12-yards and he had a second two minutes later when he got on the end of Joel Porter's flick to finish.

But the Lions were back in the game in the 62nd minute when Harris curled home a free-kick and he had a second on 66 with superb finish from just inside the box.

And the veteran frontman completed the comeback with his third goal in nine minutes to leave the home side stunned.

Yeovil Town 0 MK Dons 0

New Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton is still waiting for his first win in charge of The Glovers after striker Gavin Tomlin missed a first-half penalty against MK Dons.

The Glovers matched The Dons in the opening exchanges and blew a golden chance to take the lead in the 29th minute.

On-loan Tottenham youngster Andros Townsend was brought down by Flavien Belson but Tomlin's penalty was saved by Willy Gueret.

Dean Lewington came closest for the visitors after the break but they were a long way from their best and will be grateful to Gueret for the point.

Crewe Alexandra 2 Leeds United 3

Leeds survived a second-half fight-back from ten-man Crewe to consolidate their position in the play-offs.

The Alex were down to ten men in the 16th minute when Billy Jones lost the plot - after being booked for a foul on Robert Snodgrass he then spoke out of turn to referee Scott Mathieson and received a second yellow.

And Leeds took full advantage and had the points sewn up before the break. Midfielder Neil Kilkenny fired home from 25-yards on 27 and three minutes later Luciano Bechhio headed in Snodgrass' cross.

Snodgrass slammed in a third from the edge of the box on 32 but Crewe roared back after the break with Tom Pope heading in on 59 and 72 but Leeds held-on.

Scunthorpe United 2 Brighton & Hove Albion 0

Gary Hooper and Grant McCann kept Scunthorpe's promotion push on course with a comfortable win over Brighton.

A lively opening saw Henri Lansbury and Joe Mills force Brighton goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen into fine saves with Nick Forster bringing the best out of Joe Murphy at the other end.

The Iron grabbed the lead three minutes before the break when Hooper showed all of his predatory instincts to slam in Lansbury's cross for his 27th goal of a superb season.

McCann made the game safe ten minutes from time from the penalty spot after Matt Heath had hacked down Hooper and was sent off.

Oldham Athletic 0 Tranmere Rovers 2

Second-half goals from Charlie Barnett and Ian Moore earned Tranmere a crucial win and ruined Joe Royle's return to Oldham.

The first half was goalless with the action shared evenly between both teams - Oldham's Danny Whittaker seeing the chance of the half saved by Danny Coyne.

The deadlock was broken after 57 minutes when young midfielder Barnett latched onto a cross from Ryan Shotton to make it 1-0.

And Rovers then made it 2-0 with 15 minutes to go as Dutch defender Stefan Stam was dismissed for a foul on Steve Jennings and from the resultant penalty, Moore fired Rovers into an unassailable lead.

Southend United 3 Carlisle United 0

Goals from Peter Clarke, Damian Scannell and Alan McCormack saw Southend record a comfortable victory against Carlisle.

Northampton Town 4 Stockport County 0

Northampton eased their relegations fears as they strolled to a straightforward win over Stockport as Luke Guttridge scored one and created another.

The Cobblers took the lead after 12 minutes when Adebayo Akinfenwa fired in his tenth goal of the season after good build up by Aleksander Prijovic.

And they then doubled their lead on the stroke of half time when midfielder Abdul Osman fired in a shot following a corner by Guttridge.

Guttridge then got on the scoresheet himself with 18 minutes to go as he unleashed a shot that beat Owain Fon Williams before the rout was completed by Scott Vernon 12 minutes from time.

Leyton Orient 0 Walsall 1

Mark Bradley scored the only goal of the game as Walsall consigned Orient to their fourth defeat in six matches.

Walsall dominated possession in the first half, but it took until the last minute of the half for them to open the scoring as Welsh Under 21s striker Bradley finished Sofienne Zaaboub's pass.

After the break, Walsall continued to boss the game and had chances to extend their lead with Alex Nicholls and Zaaboub having chances, while The O's couldn't break through at the other end.

Huddersfield Town 2 Cheltenham Town 2

Huddersfield left it late to secure a point against bottom club Cheltenham as Andy Butler headed in a 93rd minute equaliser.

Cheltenham had earlier charged into a two goal advantage after only 20 minutes as denutant Leon Constantine scored his first goal for the club before strike partner Elvis Hammond latched onto a ball from Andy Gallinagh to fire home.

However, Huddersfield responded five minutes before the break when Danny Cadamarteri scored his first goal since 2007 after he received the ball from Gary Roberts and fired into the net.

But just when it seemed Cheltenham would record a third consecutive win, Butler rose above the rest to head home a Lionel Ainsworth corner.

Swindon Town 3 Hereford United 0

Simon Cox bagged a double as Swindon made it two 3-0 victories in a week by beating strugglers Hereford.

The home team took the lead just before the half hour when a corner taken by Anthony McNamee saw Cox rise above the crowd and head past Hereford keeper Peter Gulacsi for his 20th goal of the campaign.

And the striker then doubled the Robins lead in the opening minute of the second half when he tucked away an Owain Tudur Jones ball.

An easy victory for Swindon was completed when Hal Robson-Kanu found Billy Paynter and he made it three with a calm finish.
