Moose still seeks Southend pastures

The 19 year old Belgian midfielder has not figured for the Blues since being sent off against Brighton and Hove Albion in late August and he is eager to regain full match sharpness while with the Chairboys who have yet to lose this season.

Speaking to the Southend Evening Echo Franck said: "I started every game before what I thought was a harsh red card and I haven't been able to get my place back since then. Rather than playing in the reserves I approached the manager and asked if it was possible for me to go out on loan. He agreed and we both felt it would be good for my development as a player. It's great to be playing first team football again but long term my ambition remains to do well at Southend. They are still my club and I still have a lot I want to achieve there."

Since his departure Moussa has made four appearances for Wycombe and is enjoying working under the guidance of former Blues boss Spud Taylor.

The SUFC Exiles sponsored player continues: "He is very good tactically and I'm pleased to be here playing for him. The team is good too and I'm learning a lot from being here. There are plenty of experienced professionals like Leon Johnson and Tom Docherty who are a big help too."

The Moose has again also teamed up with his ex Roots Hall team-mates Matt Harrold and Lewis Hunt and those familiar faces have made it easier for him settle in. But he is not sure how much longer he will remain with Wycombe.

"I'm not allowed to play in the FA Cup game at AFC Wimbledon this weekend so I only one game left of my month long deal which expires on the 17th. I will speak to Steve Tilson after that and then we will decide what happens. If he says I have a chance of playing then I guess I'll go back to Southend but right now I'm not sure what's going to happen."

Well, we might be able to give Moose a heads up!

A lot depends on the Christophe situation came January so TLG sees another month for Franck, at least, if Taylor wants him to stay.

Still, promising that Tilly has pulled him out of the cup match and I would place the Moose as having more long term promise than, say, Grant.

This player situation will tell us a lot of how Tilly rates this current generation of Youth players along with left back Jonny Herd while Harding is unfit and cannot play in the Cup.
