COACH

For the latest news and prices and pick-up points for the supporters club coaches click on www.shrimperstrust.co.uk/default.asp?page_id=591

For an alternative journey keep up to date with SoL Travel at www.theshrimpers-online.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6&Itemid=8.

For exiles, unless you've been enjoying the recent 'mixed' transport trips on offer, you could go from London-Birmingham for a couple of fivers then Birmingham New Street-Wellington for £7.90 Day Return. So £17.90 the lot.

Plenty of choice of coaches out but for the train, catch a 33 past the hour from Birmingham, only a 37 minute journey to Wellington, then the 17.35 back, gets in at 18.19. Plenty of time to get the 19.00 coach to London, in at 21.40.

TRAIN

Go to www.thelittlegazette.com/news/loadsngl.asp?cid=EDW2&id=414400 for prices and information as of Wednesday October 29, hopefully unchanged.

Wellington Station is a mile away from the ground and should take 10 minutes for the fit ones, double that for the not so fit, however there a couple of pubs on the way there to catch your breath! (Down King Street and you will see the floodlights but go on down Mill Bank and then Watling Street for the best drinking, and kebabs, see below!)

Go past Tesco's on your left and then over two roundabouts. At the third roundabout, where there is a Ford Garage on one corner, turn left.

Probably the best ground outside the Conference National, the Bucks Head holds 6,300 including 2,200 seats. The club might have reformed in 2004 but they still pulled in 5,710 for the Unibond Premier title decider in April 2007!

PUB AND PIES

As well as drinks on offer at the away end there is also Joshua's Bar at the ground which is located behind the Sir Stephen Roberts (West) Stand.

The nearest pub to the ground is the Cock Hotel or Swan Hotel which are both about 200 yards up the road. Just up the road on the left from the Bucks Head pub is a handy kebab shop/chippy.

TLG is going to highlight The Cock Hotel, not only because we like being silly, but it's the best drinking on the way from the station to the ground.

The pub is always busy simply because it's a traditional good old English real ale pub but now with an added twist. The far end of the pub has been turned into a Belgian beer bar! The locals are a great bunch and the bar staff very friendly. NO TV footy available just good beer and great pork pies!
