Southend United Ladies were handed a bye straight into the second round of the county cup, only to be knocked out.
The Blues ladies travelled to Braintree Town in the second Round of the County Cup but were unfortunately knocked out with an 11 - 0 beating.
The Blues hard fought battle earned them praise from manager Sarah Bundy with 3 of the 11 goals to have been allegedly offside.
There was not much difference between the two sides on skill level but strength and fitness go the better of them.
Braintree currently sit 2nd in the Eastern Region Womens Football League whilst Southend United sit 5th in the Essex County Womens Football League Division 2.

Just 14 days earlier the Blues Ladies took on Hutton at Eastwoodbury Lane and rescued a dramatic 1 -1 draw, but their luck their ran out last weekend as the Blues travelled to Hutton and returned to South East Essex empty handed and plenty of time to reflect on their 5 - 1 defeat
