Game: Southend United v IFK Hedemora FK

Venue: Boots & Laces Training Ground (the training ground of Southend United Football Club)

Final Score: Southend United 0 - IFK Hedemora FK 5

Although the newly formed Southend United Ladies FC team lost the friendly against Swedish outfit IFK Hedemora FK this Saturday, they did use this match to its highest potential - to determine which position suits each player.

After a fraught first half, where all 5 goals were scored, a strong half time team talk from manager Sarah Bundy was enough to ensure a better second half performance from the ladies. Bundy managed to boost the girls confidence and the side proudly kept a clean sheet throughout the second half. Many spectators watching praised the ladies for such a great turnaround in the second half.

"I expected it to be a hard game, but if the second half we were a completly different team. The girls made me very proud, as we held off our opposition for the last 45 minutes" said manager Sarah Bundy

The attendance for the game was fantastic, and was an added boost to prove that they are back with vengeance. Both teams would like to thank all the supporters who came along to cheer on the girls and hoped those sort og numbers would hold over future seasons.
