The response from Shrimpers is mixed with most coming down on Ron's side.
Personally, there's a case for both.

Certainly as someone who has to come up with the odd headline, shock tactics lead to more hits, and there is no doubt there will be a delay in the building of the stadium, you didn't have to have the contacts of the BBC's Robert Preston to work that one out.

However, Fossetts Farm is important to the future of the club and maybe Chris Phillips could take that into account more when he gets in front of the keyboard.

I'm afraid that has something to do with the internet world we live in, it was first placed on line at 7.40am, long before the Echo would hit the streets in printed form.

We are blessed, or cursed, with several websites covering the Blues, if you are a Col. U fan you'd be hard to find anything outside the official site, and are all chasing a limited audience. We do not have the support base of Manchester United.

Chris has to catch the eye as quickly as any of us, but as a full time reporter with the whole day to chase stories, he has a bigger responsibilty.

Anyway, on a small poll on Shrimperzone set up by an angry True Blue he might be upset that 24% will still keep buying the paper but satisfied that nearly 70% don't buy the paper in the first place!
