Kane Ferdinand will take some part at Canvey Island Saturday afternoon

Blimey, you've got to give it to Spanish football, another final, this one at the conclusion of the European Under-19 finals in Romania, and after putting five past the young men in green, it does mean that influential midfielder Kane Ferdinand will get some pre-season match action with his club after all!

How much he sees, and how he actually feels after an overnight flight across Europe, we will find out soon enough, but as he took no part in the Republic of Ireland's final group game and the 5-0 semi-final defeat at the Concordia Stadium in Chiajna Friday evening he could do with some actual match time.

The Spanish will take on the Czech Republic in the final Sunday, and as the two oustanding teams in the tournament it should be a good game, live on Eurosport.

Congrats to the Irish side for getting to the last four, and Kane for taking part however small while not picking up any injuries.
