Directions:

By Road (from Southend)

Follow the A13 London Road from Southend through Chalkwell and Leigh. Continue on the A13 (Kiln Road) over Bread & Cheese Hill and take the first exit at the first roundabout at Sadlers Farm. Go straight across the next roundabout and then take the first exit at the third, which is the A13. Go straight over the Pitsea Flyover, then along the Vange By-Pass. Take the first slip road at the end of the By-Pass, go straight across the first roundabout and then take the first major exit at the next (signposted B1420 Southend Road). Follow to the Cawder Hall roundabout, and take the first exit (B1420 Southend Road again). Follow down Lampits Hill, and continue into Church Road and then Rookery Hill. East Thurrock United will be on your right.

By Train

The closest station is Stanford-le-Hope on the c2c line, located some two miles from Rookery Hill (35-45 minutes walk). Taxis are available from the ranks outside the station and on the nearby High Street. For those braving the walk, directions are as follows: Turn right out of the station into London Road (briefly) and then Church Road. Turn right onto the High Street, cross the road and take the first left (Corringham Road). Follow straight down this road until it’s conclusion at the roundabout with the A1014 Manorway. Turn right here and continue to Rookery Hill, which is on the left-hand side. Trains leave Southend Central on 20 minutes and 50 minutes past the hour, and take roughly 24 minutes to reach Stanford-le-Hope. Trains return to Southend at 17:10, 17:40, 18:10, 18:40 and then at various times until 00:46.
