Tilly: 'It will be a real test for us'

Blues boss Steve Tilson is well aware that his team face a tough task indeed as they return to match action against Huddersfield Town Saturday afternoon.

Tilly spoke to www.southendunited.co.uk: "Huddersfield have a good budget, players and side so it will be a real test for us. They haven't lost at home this season, winning nine and drawing three so that says an awful lot about them. But we won our last game at Orient so we're full of confidence too and hopefully we can get a good result against them but we know it's going to be very difficult."

Clark: 'We're expecting a very tough match'

Terriers boss Lee Clark is well aware that his team will be tested by Tilly's men, especially after a hard fought 2-2 draw at Roots Hall on the first Saturday of the league season.

Clark told www.htafc.com: "I expect Southend to be a very tough opponent; it will be a really tough match. As everyone knows, it was a tough one down there on the opening day of the season - it looked as if it was slipping away from us at one stage, but then we got back into it and it looked we we're going to go on and win. When Collins got sent off and we were down to ten men, we just had to hang on a little bit."

And the Huddersfield manager is full of respect for his opposite number.

Clark continued: "Steve Tilson has done a magnificent job at Southend. He's had a long time to get settled in, the players know his methods and they respond to them. We're expecting a very tough match."
