Tilson: 'The lads are still in good spirits'

Blues boss Steve Tilson is confident his players will be up for this afternoon's match against play-off contenders Swindon Town what ever the circumstances the club has found itself in.

Tilly spoke to www.southendunited.co.uk: "As tough as it's been for us lately, the lads are still in good spirits here. We have to make sure that everyone pulls together, otherwise we will be in trouble. You only have to look at Leeds United's last three league games, but we have to have the right attitude for every game. We can either moan and groan and give up or we have to get on with it and be positive."

As for the team travelling down the M4 from Wiltshire.

Tilly continued: "Swindon have done fantastic and if you look through their side, I don't know for definite, but they have had a lot of continuity throughout the season. Adam Barrett has had seven centre backs this season, which is too many, but unfortunately that is the way it's been."

Swindon manager Danny Wilson

Wilson: 'We cannot be complacent going into the game'

Wilson told www.swindontownfc.co.uk: "It was a fantastic performance against Leeds, but you don't have to get carried away. I wouldn't be if I didn't want a bit more from the players, but that performance will take some beating that's for sure. It'll be totally different kettle of fish at Southend, because everyone's expecting us to win the game. We'll going full of confidence, but we know we're going to have to do the same things as we did at Stockport, (won 1-0), to able to get a result there."

As for their opponents today, the mighty Shrimpers.

Wilson concluded: "It's been very tough for them over this period of time what with one thing or another, so they'll be determined to get themselves in a safer position than they are now. That in itself will start alarm bells ringing with us, because we cannot be complacent going into the game. If I was in their position I'd be thinking, 'it's got to change sometime', and from my point of view I'm hoping it doesn't against us."
