After a magnificent effort by the Shrimper faithful to raise the spirit of the side last night at the Matchroom Tilly has decided to make a plea to us all to keep the faith.

"Our side is very young at the moment and it's important that the supporters continue to encourage. The fans have bben brilliant in recent weeks and that encouragement will play a massive part in keeping the confidence of a young squad."

He spoke of the work going on bring in new players to add to an already small squad now further depleted by the loss of Alex revell for six months with a broken ankle:

"Between the chairman and I we are doing our best to work through transfer targets and bring them here either on-loan or permanently depending on their availbilty and terms."

Names mentioned in dispatches include; Leeds United's Bradley Johnson, Wycombe Wanderers' Mike Williamson, Portsmouth's Matt Ritchie and Derby County's Liam Dickinson.

Either the fee involved is too high or it's the wages when a loan agreement is being sought.

Best of luck Tilly, time to open that cheque book Uncle Ron.
