Blair Sturrock: Has finally agreed to an extentsion to his contract
Well, it won't please all of the Shrimpers faithful, especially the guy behind me in the West Stand, but the hard working and sometime underrated Shrimpers striker Blair Sturrock, (the son of Luggy, you can see it in the ears), has put pen to paper on a new deal with the club lasting another year.
A tweet from Roots Hall towers informs us: 'Striker Blair Sturrock has extended his contract at Roots Hall ahead of the new season.'
Let's face it, he didn't have a line of suitors outside his door did he?
However, top scorer Barry Corr appreciates his off the ball running, though he will probably see a lot more bench time this season with the arrival of Bomber Harris.
All in all, with the signing of Alassane D'Aiaye from the Palace, a good day in south-east Essex; come on Craig, join the party!
